- assuming most birthdays, if allowed, would probably be oriented to children, then that means 40 celebrations per year.
so all in all, this give a total potential attendance to a birthday of 30 families (120 attendance / 4 family members).
News flash: Plenty of JWs do in fact celebrate their birthday. Grant it, not in the lavish fashion as most others, but rather in private/family-only gatherings. Yes indeed it happens, and more so since the WBTS lost its credibility when it changed the 'generation' doctrine.

sometimes holidays can be hard on us.
some of us deserve a little toast today.. a toast to all the brave kids who broke up with their toxic moms.
I have heard of children of toxic mothers that have given them terrible gifts on Mother's Day; dried up dog poop, nicely wrapped and mailed to their home with a note saying this is what they deserved as a bad mother.
Does shunning one's child deserve a gift of such caliber? I second that idea!

when i see people on here saying they've looked on several sites before this one, jwfacts, jwstruggle, youtube, etc., and then they make friends here, sometimes meeting up with ex-jws, it seems incredibly easy compared to leaving in 1989. .
no internet, no amazon to find ex-jw books, no facebook to link up with ex-jw groups.
still people find it so hard to leave.
It is complicated.
I love my family and extended family much too much to cause this kind of commotion. And all things JW heavily is what they all are, so I play along nicely.
Call it coward of whatever but, in my particular situation, it is what creates the best environment for all parties involved.

at the end of april, there was a zone visit in france, with tv broadcast in all kh.. g. losch told he received a letter from a girl, 10 years old, baptised at 5, reg pioneer since 4 years !
what a fine example, he said....... let s imagine the faces of the parents in the kh!
i was happy to see i was not the only one to find it crazy.. if you have a child, you know how mature he is at 5. how can a child preach 2.5hours/day after 7hours of school and homework to do??

Growing up without a childhood. My biggest pet peeve in this organization. Why can't Jesus' example be followed in this regard?
Let people make a conscious decision once maturity is reached. Why would such a life-altering choice be made when a person is not fully developed?

but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.
i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).

i have been brought up as a jehovah witness and want to date this boy who isn't a jehovah's witness.
we have talked about the trials we could go through and i was wondering because i am a unbaptised publisher could i date him without any consequences?
Dating the JW way and 'dating' the normally accepted way are 2 very totally different animals. Yes, as soon as you are found out, you will lose your publishing privileges and become 'marked' by them, bad association if you will. Are you up to this task?
Consider if the high is worth the pain, then proceed.

In the Spanish congs I mingle in, not a peep about this nonsense. The vast majority of us are immigrants, so any extra goes to our families here in the USA or abroad or to help our follow-up generation do better than ourselves.
If those idiots in NY have spent incorrectly all the funds already given to them, then tough luck jerks! Have enough with all the contributions sent by the congs monthly and all the moneys sent every single time there is an assembly. Greedy bastards!

so, as well reported, the latest jw broadcasting show is all about giving money.
as far as the wt society goes they have been pretty candid about there not being enough funds to meet the expenditure.
there are plenty of views on if this is really the case or not but underlying this is why are they spending so much money?.
So we have no tithing, but are always asking for $$$. Same thing!!!

Just do not answer your door, or simply walk away without saying a word if approached in public. So many of us want just that reaction, I welcome it even.
A vast percentage of JWs do this busy work only to satisfy requirements of this religion. Believe me, I will never make another convert for this Org.
